This notice covers this website and communications with our company. Any product-specific data practices will be explained before the relevant software or service launches.
Information we use
When you browse
Hostinger, our hosting provider, processes technical request information to deliver and protect the site. This can include your IP address, requested page, request time, browser or device information, referring page, response status, and security events. Hosting tools may summarize requests and traffic for operating the site. We do not use advertising pixels, third-party behavioral analytics, or cross-site tracking scripts.
When you contact us
We receive your email address, name if provided, message, and any attachments or other information you choose to send. Please send only what is relevant to your inquiry. Do not email passwords, full payment-card details, or sensitive personal records.
Interactive features
The Idea Forge responds to your pointer, touch, and controls in your browser. The image comparison uses existing demonstration stills. We do not upload those interactions, record your screen, or collect biometric data through these features.
Why we use it
- Delivering and securing the website: our legitimate interests in operating a reliable website, preventing abuse, and diagnosing faults (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Answering inquiries and providing support: our legitimate interests in communicating with people who contact us; where you request steps toward a purchase or need contractual support, taking those steps or performing the contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Meeting legal requirements: complying with applicable recordkeeping, tax, and lawful disclosure duties (Article 6(1)(c)).
We do not use website information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, or for profiling you for advertising. Emailing us does not enroll you in marketing. If we introduce optional marketing or tracking that requires consent, we will ask separately before starting it and provide an easy way to withdraw.
When checkout becomes available
We plan to use Paddle as the authorized reseller and merchant of record for website purchases. Checkout is not currently enabled. When you choose to buy through Paddle, Paddle will handle payment and billing information under its own Privacy Policy.
To fulfill purchases and provide support, we expect to receive order and customer information such as name, email, product, license duration, transaction reference, billing country, and payment or refund status. We do not receive your full card number or card security code. Order fulfillment, licensing, and any related data retention will be documented before sales open. Paddle is responsible for its own payment-related processing; you can contact it about that processing directly.
How long information is kept
We keep information only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected. For inquiries, this means handling the request and relevant follow-up; for an ongoing customer relationship, it includes necessary support history. We also consider applicable recordkeeping duties and the time reasonably needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. When those reasons no longer apply, we delete or anonymize the information.
Technical logs and backups follow the hosting service’s retention and rotation settings. Security records may need to be preserved while an incident is investigated. We do not create an indefinite history of individual website browsing. You can ask us about the retention criteria for your particular information.
International processing
Ocular Foundry LLC is based in the United States. Information you send us is processed in the United States and may also be processed where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection laws from your own.
Where applicable law requires a transfer safeguard, the relevant processing arrangement must provide one, such as an adequacy decision or approved standard contractual clauses and supplementary measures where needed. Hostinger’s Data Processing Addendum contains provisions for EU and UK transfers. Contact hello@ocularfoundry.com for details about the safeguards relevant to your information and how to obtain a copy.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Access your personal information and receive a copy.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion or restriction of processing.
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Receive portable data where the legal conditions apply.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing.
- Complain to your local data-protection authority, including in the EEA country where you live or work, or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
Email hello@ocularfoundry.com with “Privacy request” in the subject and tell us what you need. We may ask for proportionate information to verify your identity; please do not send an identity document unless we explain why it is necessary. Rights have legal conditions and exceptions.
For requests covered by GDPR or UK GDPR, we respond without undue delay and normally within one month of receiving the request. If the law permits an extension because of complexity or the number of requests, we will explain the reason within that first month. We do not ordinarily charge for exercising these rights.
