CLARITY, BY DESIGN.
Terms of Service
The terms for our website, our software licenses, and your relationship with the foundry.
Before launch. The collection is in development. Prices are provisional and may change before sales open. Browsing a product page or sending an inquiry does not place an order or reserve a license.
Our company & these terms
These terms govern use of ocularfoundry.com, operated by Ocular Foundry LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). You may contact us at hello@ocularfoundry.com.
Ocular Foundry LLC2108 N St

Use the website lawfully and in accordance with these terms. When software becomes available to purchase, the product description, license terms presented before purchase, and the applicable checkout terms will form the terms of that purchase. Any product-specific license agreement will be made available before you buy.
Products, prices & availability
Our products are digital software. Product pages describe their intended features and current development status. Demonstrations illustrate the software; results depend on the material and settings used. Do not rely on an unannounced feature, platform, or release date when making plans.
All currently displayed prices are provisional USD prices. No payment or preorder is accepted at this stage. Before purchases open, each product page will state supported systems, required host applications where relevant, license and activation requirements, delivery arrangements, and the final price. Taxes and any currency conversion will be disclosed in checkout before you confirm payment. Price changes do not retroactively change a completed purchase.
The three license options
Planned license options vary by product. Halation’s first release offers a perpetual license only; one-year and one-day licenses are planned for later. Each option covers the same stated product features for one user:
- Permanent: a license without a time limit for the software version purchased. This does not promise every future major upgrade, unlimited support, or compatibility with future operating systems or host applications. Mandatory rights to updates are not excluded.
- 1 year: a time-limited license for 365 consecutive days from first activation.
- 1 day: a time-limited license for 24 consecutive hours from first activation, rather than the remainder of a calendar day.
All three involve a one-time payment. The one-year and one-day options do not renew automatically. Continued use after expiry requires another valid license. Final activation details, supported devices, and any deadline to activate will be disclosed before sales open; no unannounced activation deadline applies.
A paid license permits the licensed user to use the software for personal or commercial creative work. Software is licensed, not sold, and intellectual-property rights in the software remain with Ocular Foundry LLC or its licensors. You retain your rights in your own media and creative work.
Do not share license credentials, redistribute the software, sublicense it, or circumvent license controls. Reverse engineering restrictions apply only to the extent permitted by law and do not remove rights that cannot legally be restricted. Third-party software or open-source components may have their own applicable licenses.
Paddle, payment & delivery
When website sales launch, we plan to use Paddle as our authorized reseller and merchant of record. For purchases completed through Paddle, you buy from the Paddle entity identified in checkout. Paddle handles payment processing, applicable sales tax, transaction receipts, and payment-related support under its Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy.
Ocular Foundry LLC develops the software and will provide the software access and licensing described with your order. Delivery will be digital; there are no physical goods or shipping charges. Before payment, checkout will identify what you are purchasing, the license duration, total charge, and delivery method. We do not promise immediate delivery while the products remain unavailable.
You must be legally able to enter the purchase agreement. If purchasing for a business, you must be authorized to do so. You are responsible for providing accurate order information and checking the stated compatibility requirements.
Refunds & consumer rights
See our Refund Policy for how to request a refund or exercise withdrawal rights. For Paddle transactions, Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy govern the payment and refund process. We do not currently offer an additional blanket money-back guarantee beyond those terms and applicable law.
Nothing in these terms excludes mandatory consumer rights, statutory withdrawal rights where they apply, or remedies for software that is faulty, misdescribed, or otherwise fails to meet a legal requirement. Simply activating a license does not by itself waive a statutory right.
Responsible use of the website
Do not disrupt the website, introduce malicious code, attempt unauthorized access, misuse other people’s information, infringe intellectual-property rights, or use the site for unlawful purposes. Our trademarks, branding, text, demonstration images, and site design are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Contact us for permission where your intended use requires it.
You may use the interactive Idea Forge to explore and export your own generated shapes. This does not grant a right to use our name or logo as your own branding. External links lead to services operated under their own terms and policies.
Support, access & changes
Contact hello@ocularfoundry.com for website or product inquiries. We may update the informational website or temporarily restrict access to address maintenance, security, or misuse. This does not cancel a valid paid software license without a lawful or contractual basis.
If a material license breach occurs, we may restrict the affected license in accordance with the applicable agreement, giving notice and a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue where appropriate. Urgent action may be needed for fraud or security threats. Mandatory consumer remedies remain available.
These terms may change. The revision date identifies the current version. Changes to website terms do not retroactively reduce rights attached to an existing purchase; the applicable purchase terms and mandatory law continue to govern that purchase.
Responsibility & applicable law
We take reasonable care in maintaining the site, but the informational website may contain errors or experience interruptions. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. This does not disclaim any statutory quality, conformity, security-update, or other mandatory obligation for paid software.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including for fraud, willful misconduct, or any non-excludable consumer right.
California law governs these website terms, subject to any mandatory protections of your place of residence. If you are a consumer, you retain the right to use courts and remedies available under applicable mandatory law. Paddle’s separate Buyer Terms govern your purchase relationship with Paddle. Contact us first if you have a concern so we can try to resolve it.
